My Story

My name is Julie and I started writing this blog in August, 2013. My original intent was to share food, my passion for cooking, and to hopefully give back some of the many recipes I’ve stolen over the years. I had no idea then that this journey would carry my humble recipes to the far corners of the green earth or that my journey would include healing Lupus/Hashimoto’s Disease through nutrition. While I’m still overwhelmed that more than five people are actually reading my blog, I also feel responsible for sharing my journey; as a passionate advocate for managing autoimmune diseases through nutrition, Paleo follower, believer in conscientious food sustainability, educator to children with special needs, and as a wife and mother to three young men.

I’ve long since believed in the power of health and nutrition; that living well starts from the inside. The evolution of a healthy lifestyle has naturally carried my love of cooking with it. I also have to feed four hungry males on a daily basis, stick to some semblance of a budget, and not spend every waking minute in my kitchen. Hopefully, the culmination of my efforts has something for everyone. Thank you so much for joining me on my journey!

hi Julie, it’s Cece’s mom. I love the chocolate orange coffee creamer idea. Can you make some for me? I’ll pay you, really! I just don’t have the energy or the time to go shopping and make it. So….if you can, I’d love to be your first customer. Please let me know.
